Wish List: Curry

I pin a lot of recipes. I get irrationally sad and frustrated sometimes because I know I could never make all of them. These “Wish List” posts are a way for me to highlight some of the amazing recipes I would like to make, with each one focusing on a specific ingredient or type of food, etc. If you make something from here, please let me know! I will live vicariously through you.

Wish List: Curry

I’ve been craving curry foods recently. I’m honestly not that familiar with curry recipes, and I think I didn’t even learn what curry could taste like until college. I know that curry blends differ greatly and they are used in a variety of different ways, but I’ve been craving the kind of stew-y, soup-y curry dishes that you pour all over rice in a big bowl while you snuggle up with a blanket and watch too much television. I think this craving has a lot to do with the fact that one of the best things that Robert and I “threw together” for dinner one night in the past few months (in my opinion) was this pumpkin curry fettuccine dish with curried vegetables. Plus, it’s winter. Winter makes me want to eat heavier foods, hence this curry wish list instead of the kale wish list (which is sure to surface at some point in the future). If you have a favorite curry dish, please let me know!

Oooo, that one looks good, too – thanks for sharing! I’ve never had butter chicken but I keep seeing it on the internet lately and I really want to make it. The first one I saw was from Half Baked Harvest, which I linked to above. I really need to make it soon, especially while the weather is still cold.

What do you think?
